Everyone seems hung up on those 4 states as the "must win" states for both Obama and McCain. True, they are very important and both sides would love a sweep of that foursome. However, as things are settling out and we have polling data coming out our ears, it is noteworthy that Obama could actually win without winning ANY of Florida, Ohio, Pennsylvania or Missouri.
How you ask? Well its pretty simple really. If BO can maintain his leads in Colorado (+5.4), New Mexico (+6.8) and Nevada (+2.0) and win either North Carolina (+1.1) OR Virginia (+6.5) he would hit the magic 270.
Now the truth of the matter is it appears that it would not shuffle out this way and BO will likely cruise in PA and could easily win 1 or all of OH, FL and MO. I just haven't seen anyone, including the great Chuck Todd, break it down in this fashion.
There is a reason BO is the clear Vegas favorite to win this thing. Many paths to victory that look to be avoidable only by election fraud. Get out and vote and make sure no shananigans happen out there regardless of your political affiliation.
